The Nephrology department of the hospital focuses on providing comprehensive and quality care to patients with kidney diseases. To ensure effective management and continuity of care, we have a team of well experienced Nephrologists, Dialysis Medical officers and trained Nursing staff. The department has therefore initiated a Preventive Nephrology Clinic to provide patient education on prevention and management of kidney diseases.

- We run OP consultation both in the mornings and evenings all days including Sundays.
- Special OP services are available for patients undergoing hemodialysis and for post transplant care
PROCEDURES
- The dialysis unit at cosmopolitan hospital is a well run monitored maintenance Hemo-dialysis program including creation of temporary and permanent vascular access. It caters to more than 150 chronic haemodialysis patients amounting to more than 1500 sessions per month.
- The dialysis unit functions round the clock
- We also provide dialysis for patients with Hepatitis B positive status with isolation facility for the same
- For critically ill nephrology patients, we offer state a the art care including facilities of dialysis, CRRT and SLED
- We have a multidisciplinary ICU for patients requiring intensive care with multiple specialities contributing to a wholesome and comprehensive management..
- We also provide special renal treatment modalities such as plasmapheresis, haemofilitration and haemodiafiltration
- Apart from haemodialysis,we also provide facilities for CAPD including percutaneous as well as laparotomy and insertion of CAPD catheter
- There is a comprehensive programme for management of glomerular disease including image guided renal biopsies and targeted therapies
- Our Transplant Programme includes Live Related Renal Transplantation Programme as well as diseased donor renal transplant
