Dr. P.S.Mathew is the Former Professor& HOD of Dermatology& Venereology atGovt. Medical College, Thrissur, Travancore Medical College, Kollam, Pushpagiri Medical College, Thiruvallaand Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Ernakulam. He was a faculty in the specialty of Dermatology invarious Govt. and Private Medical Colleges in Keralafrom 1982 onwards for a period of 37 years.
He is an accomplished Academician and an Astute Clinician, and has been a Post graduate Medical teacher / Examiner in Dermatology (MD / DNB Dermatology) for a period of more than 3 decades.
He is the Author and Editor of 2 Medical Books in Dermatology, one for M.B.B.S. graduates preparing for PG entrance examination (MCQs in Dermatology and Venereology) and the other for thoseundergoing Postgraduate training in Dermatology (Dermatology and Venereology Review including Recent advances), in 1998 and 2002 respectively, both published by Paras Medical Publisher, Hyderabad.
He has also worked as a Consultant Dermatologist in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a period of 2 years from 1988 to 1990. Currently he is working as Honorary Senior Consultant in Dermatology & Venereology at Cosmopolitan Hospital, Trivandrum from April 2024 onwards.
